CRACK IT OPEN: Cops Find 50-Kilo Haul Of Crack Cocaine In Coffin

This is the moment Brazilian highway police find a huge haul of deadly crack cocaine stashed in a coffin after they pulled over a car on a motorway in Brazil.

Police footage shows the officers opening the casket to reveal massive slabs of the drug crammed into the space.

Newsflash obtained a statement from the Brazilian Federal Highway Police (Policia Rodoviaria Federal; PRF) dated Wednesday, 9th November, saying that they had seized “50 kilogrammes of crack in a funeral coffin”.

They added: “The driver, who initially claimed to be carrying the empty coffin, was arrested in the act for drug trafficking.”

The cops said the bus had taken place at about 11:30pm on Tuesday, 8th November, adding that “during a routine inspection by the Federal Highway Police (PRF) at km 07 of the Fernao Dias highway, in Vargem [in Sao Paulo state] a funeral vehicle was approached.

“During the approach of the vehicle, the driver was asked if there was a funeral home in the car and he said yes, so documentation of the deceased was requested, at this time the driver said he was only transporting an empty coffin.

“Asked why he would take an empty coffin from Sao Paulo to Belo Horizonte, he was very nervous and did not know how to respond.”

The cops then said that they looked inside the coffin and discovered the drugs, saying: “When the coffin was inspected, the PRF realised that it was too heavy to be empty and when they opened it they found 50 slabs of crack that totalled 50 kilogrammes [110 lbs] of the drug.

The cops said that they arrested the unnamed 27-year-old man for drug trafficking and that the case was transferred to the civil police in Braganca Paulista.
