This is the moment a driver uses his car to herd a galloping horse on a motorway to the side of the road where it can be apprehended by passersby.

The footage shows cars speeding by the other direction threatening disaster should the pony decide to crossover into oncoming traffic, but fortunately the driver who filmed this footage managed to overtake it and prevent a disaster.

The pony was spotted galloping on Lenin street in the city of Magnitogorsk in south-western Russia’s city of Magnitogorsk in Chelyabinsk Oblast region.

The footage made on the smartphone camera shows the pony galloping down the street.

The man identified as Vladislav Eremeev, who was in a car together with his son, was worried about the fact that the pony looks as if any moment it’s going to move into the opposite lane.

The driver underlines that he doesn’t want it to get run over by a car coming from the other direction or for a car crash.

He said: “We need to gently push it to the other side, so it will leave the road.”

Thanks to this manoeuvre the pony was moved from the far left side of the road to the far right where it was by the pavement.

Both the car with Vladislav and his son, as well as the pony stopped when they reached the pavement.

There the horse was grabbed by another onlooker, who said that there was a young woman running after the pony, and that they needed to return the animal to her.

Netizen ‘Varvara1962’ said: “I have lots of respect for this driver. This pony could have easily ended up under wheels of one of the cars.”

Another guest user of a local Internet forum added: “I am so happy that these days there are still kind people out there.”
