COW DID THAT HAPPEN? Runaway Calf Traps Itself

A baffled runaway calf ended up back behind a fence again after it managed to recapture itself as it tried to break out of a farm in northern China.

The calf was being kept in a small ring fence when it attempted to escape by pushing down the top of the wire, farm CCTV has revealed.

But as it steps out to freedom the whole fence flips over and traps the calf again.

Meanwhile, a second calf that had been sharing the enclosure near the city of Tongliao, in Inner Mongolia province, finds itself unexpectedly free and strolls off.

The first calf then seems to give up and decides to stay put.

The owner shared the footage of the unsuccessful prison break on Douyin – the Chinese version of TikTok – adding she did not know whether to laugh or cry.

Netizens apparently could not get enough of the hilarious video.
