This is the goody bag of sex toys and lubricant nurses in Mexico have been given as a thank you for their hard work during the coronavirus crisis.

The idea for the bags came from a nurse named in reports as Patricia who works at Clinic 27 of the Mexican Institute of Social Insurance in the city of Tijuana, in the northwestern Mexican state of Baja California.

Local newspaper SDP report Patricia, who worked in a sex shop as she was training to become a nurse, proposed the idea of the ‘sex kits’ to her bosses and they agreed.

The kits, created by sex shop Fantasias Sexy Boutique, contain a vibrator, lubricants, massage oils, a discount card for the shop and stickers.

Patricia told SDP: “We thought that it was good to find a way of thanking them for the effort they are making.”

And she added to local newspaper Zeta Tijuana that “we gave them out so that our medical team could have a stress-free moment and we thought it was a good idea”.

Zeta Tijuana report that 16 nurses, both female and male, received erotic gifts and Patricia told the newspaper: “We are worried about their sexual health.

“[Sexual] acts help to generate endorphins, to strength the immunological system and we thought it was good to find other ways of thanking them for the effort they are making and for them to enjoy something with their partners.”

She posted a photo of one of the kits online and the snap has since received over 25,900 likes.

According to the latest figures from the Johns Hopkins University, Mexico has registered 311,486 cases of COVID-19 and 36,327 related deaths.
