COVID: Moment Man Gifts Neighbour With Bday Card On Pole

This is the heartwarming moment an elderly man in protective gear gives his young neighbour a birthday card on the end of a pole during COVID-19 lockdown.

The kindhearted gesture was filmed in the southern Croatian region of Dalmatia and the footage was later posted on Facebook where it is going viral with 600,000 views.

In the video, a man in a face mask, gloves and disposable cap is seen standing a safe distance from the front door while extending a birthday card on the end of a pole.

The man says:”Frane, my honey, happy birthday!”

The cheery neighbour then shouts: “Two metres, two metres, stay away two metres.”

The beaming young man accepts the card and his partner offers the neighbour and cameraperson some cake.

The cameraperson then disinfects the card and the neighbour’s gloves.

Netizen ‘Ivana Pap’ said: “I want presents given to me this way as well!”

‘Dragica Trkulja’ commented: “Great! We need some fun in these crazy times.”

‘DanicaSisic’ wrote: “People still do kind acts, congratulations!”

‘Ivana Vujevic’ remarked: “This is what we all should do this year.”

‘Milan Trkulja’ said: “Lockdown winners! Happy birthday and respect to you all.”

‘Aida Omerdic’ gushed: “I laughed with all my heart!”

According to the latest figures by Johns Hopkins University, Croatia has reported 963 cases of COVID-19 and six related deaths.
