This is the moment four police officers surround a drunk man and taser him to bring him down after their batons failed and he lunged at them.

The startling incident occurred in the Everton Park area in the town of Bukit Merah in Southern Singapore and was filmed by an onlooker.

In the video, the four officers can be seen walking to surround the reportedly drunk man when he suddenly lunges at one of them.

Another cop responds by firing a taser while the officer who was lunged at hits the man with his baton.

The taser does not work and the officers then start shouting at the man, telling him to “get down”.

The man does not react as the officers continue shouting at him but the cops then fire another taser, appearing to hit the man in his leg and he drops to the ground from the electric shock.

Two officers then jump in to put the man in handcuffs.

It is unclear how the incident started and if the man was charged with anything.

Neitzen ‘Christopher Chiew’ commented: “Good job SPF. Thank you for keeping the country safe.”

And ‘Jay Tun’ added: “Thank you for doing your job!”
