Cops Seize Teen And Boy Over Massacre Of Six Men In Violent Mexico

Police in Mexico have seized two teenagers over the fatal shooting of six men in a gritty border city.

The killing spree took place in the city of Ciudad Juarez in Chihuahua State on 9th February.

Police named the elder of the suspects as Jorge Manuel C. E., 19.

Police named his younger accomplice only as V. H. L. J., 17.

The pair shot their victims in the head with two high-calibre firearms as they drove through the city – which borders the city of El Paso in Texas State, USA – in a pickup truck.

Their first victim was named in reports as Tereso C. V.

The adult suspect has been remanded in custody while judges decide what to do with the minor.

Jorge Manuel C. E. has a hearing scheduled for tomorrow (15th February).

In a statement obtained by Newsflash, the Juarez Municipal Government said: “Agents of the Municipal Public Security Department arrested Jorge Manuel C. E. and a 17-year-old adolescent, for their alleged responsibility in the commission of the crime of homicide.

“Municipal Police officers, who carried out prevention and surveillance tasks in the Urbivilla del Prado subdivision, responded to a call to the emergency number 911, where they reported the homicide of several people at the intersection of Prados de Alameda and Prados de las Flores Streets.

“Upon arrival at the place where the report was made, eyewitnesses reported that those responsible had fled aboard a red 2009 Chevrolet Pickup 1500 truck.

“With the data obtained, search actions were implemented, locating said vehicle at the intersection of Manuel Talamas Camandari Boulevard and Mesa Central, where, upon noticing the presence of the police units, they accelerated at full speed, generating a pursuit which ended on Refugio de la Libertad Street, in the Manuel J. Clouthier neighbourhood, followed by the arrest of 19-year-old Jorge Manuel C. E. and a 17-year-old adolescent.

“It should be noted that no offensive weapon was found, but when they were fully identified by eyewitnesses as those responsible for depriving said people of their lives, they were arrested.

“After being read their rights, they were consigned for their alleged responsibility in the commission of the aforementioned crime to the corresponding authority, which will be in charge of determining their degree of participation.”
