Cops Save Toddler And 2 Others Struck During Shooting In New Jersey

This is the moment US cops attending a shooting help to save the life of a two-year-old girl who was wounded along with two other victims.

The incident took place at 85-95 Cabinet Street in the city of Newark in the US state of New Jersey at around 11pm on 28th January.

When officers from the Newark Police Department arrived at the scene, they encountered the two-year-old girl and two adults, a 27-year-old male and a female whose age has not been disclosed, who were all suffering from gunshot wounds.

The youngster was immediately transferred to the University Hospital along with the other victims.

Body-cam footage released by the police on Saturday shows officers placing one of the adult victims, who was shot in the lower abdomen, into a patrol car before rushing him to hospital.

Police director Ambrose said: “We’re fortunate that this incident did not turn out to be more tragic than it already is as we continue to get guns off our streets.

“I’m grateful that our officers were there to help save the life of this child.”

The condition of the three victims, whose identities have not been revealed, is currently unknown.

As detectives continue investigating the incident, the police department is seeking the public’s help to identify the shooters as soon as possible.
