This is the moment two cops risk their lives to pull a nearly naked man off the snow-covered roof of a tower block.

The incident took place in the city of Karaganda, which is in the Karaganda Region of north-central Kazakhstan.

According to eyewitnesses who were backed up by what was seen in the video, the half-naked man had been on the roof for around 30 minutes before police arrived.

In the clip, the man can be seen wearing only his underwear as he sits on the edge of the snow-covered roof atop the five-storey apartment building.

Two agile policemen are seen struggling to keep their footing as they walk down the sloped roof towards him before linking him by his arms to help him off the roof.

Both the policemen – who are seen without safety equipment – and the naked man are seen struggling to come down from the roof due to the slippery surface.

According to the press department of the local police service: “A call about a man on a roof was received on 12th February at 6:20pm. Police officers Damir Orazov and Timur Sultangaziev were sent to the scene.

They managed to get the 31-year-old man down from the roof and later passed him to doctors, who found out the man was drunk and had the first degree of frostbite of the hands’ and feet’ fingers.

According to local media, the man got onto the roof after a row with his family although it has not been reported what the cause was of the conflict.

Netizens reacted to the scene as it gathered thousands of shares and likes within the first hour of being posted online.

Netizen ‘a_11_ua’ wrote: “Poor policemen. They risked their lives because of a stupid man.”
‘aristatvista’ supposed another scenario was taking place: “Husband came home earlier so the lover had to escape.”
