This parapsychologist has been arrested on suspicion of helping mastermind the murder of her neighbour and cops say several “witchcraft” objects were found in her house – including pictures of the chief investigator.

Retired doctor Leon Domingo Burela Yanchina, 64, was reportedly murdered on 15th April in the city of Las Heras in the province of Mendoza in western Argentina.

The body of the man, who was reportedly recovering from heart surgery at his home when he was killed, was found sitting in an armchair with a gunshot impact to the neck.

The house was reportedly open and very messy which caused the investigators to dismiss the possibility of suicide while his widow, who was not at home at the time, claimed that the crime occurred during a robbery.

His widow Elizabeth Ventura and her parapsychologist friend and neighbour Monica Castro have now been arrested on suspicion of planning the murder and hiring a hitman to kill the man.

Public Prosecutor Claudia Rios, who is investigating, has stated that occult items were discovered in the house of the parapsychologist, including photos of Rios herself.

She said: “Several items of witchcraft were found. There were five photos of me with notes with what needs to happen to me so that the investigation does not advance.”

There were also photos and notes about police, officials and children which were kept in a freezer, according to reports which state there were photographs in jars with blood and salt.

Both women are reportedly accused of being the masterminds of the homicide, while the police are still searching for an unnamed young man around 20 years old who was allegedly hired by the victim’s wife to commit the homicide.

The investigation is ongoing and no motive has been provided for the crime.
