Cop Who Ran Over Young Husky Is Suspended After It Was Filmed By CCTV

A Mexican cop has been suspended after he ran over a husky pup leaving it severely injured with several fractured bones.

The footage was shared online and the cop who drove away after running over the little pup is now under investigation by Mexican authorities.

The incident was recorded by a security camera in the municipality of Melchor Ocampo in the State of Mexico earlier this month (8th September)

As seen in the footage the patrol car can be seen slowly moving towards the dog which is sat very visibly in the middle of a well-light road.

The police officer, who has not been identified, drives directly over the dog crushing it beneath the patrol car’s wheels.

After the car has passed over it the little husky, which is reportedly to be just nine months old, jumps to its feet and limps towards the side of the road.

The local news site Excelsior reports that the animal protection organization, Mundo Patitas, shared the footage on social media where Netizens were quick to condemn the cop for hitting the dog and not even stopping to try and help it.

According to Mundo Patitas, the little pup that is called ‘Rolo’ was taken to a vet and diagnosed with various life-threatening fractures.

According to local media, Mundo Patitas reported the incident to the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico who have launched an investigation into the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.

The last report from Mundo Patitas said that Rolo has suffered severe injuries but is expected to survive.
