A woman from the USA has been arrested after she left 50 lbs of human faeces in front of the local police station.

Assistant fire chief’s wife Mindy Janette Stephens, 46, was arrested after she reportedly left three five-gallon buckets of human waste in front of the Electra Police Department in Wichita County, Texas, USA.

She was taken into custody and charged with one count of illegal dumping after she reportedly refused to remove it from the premises of the station located in the 100 block of East Cleveland Avenue.

An affidavit released by the Electra Police Department on Thursday, 1st December, said: “At approximately 4.30pm Officer McCarty observed on the Police Department’s security camera someone putting something outside the front of the Police Department.

“He went outside to see what was going on and discovered three, five-gallon buckets of what appeared to be human waste.

“He saw a person in an all-white haz-mat suit with a yellow mask walking back to a tan SUV with a trailer.

“He attempted to ask what they were doing and a female stated that the buckets were human shit and she was dropping them off.

“She then got in the vehicle and drove off.”

The surveillance camera footage was then carefully reviewed by a supervising officer, Lieutenant Kelmer, who recognised Stephens’ voice, after he reportedly spoke to the 46-year-old woman earlier that day concerning the “buckets of human shit.”

Police chief Terry Wooten then contacted Electra City Administrator and firefighter Steve Bowlin about the incident, who told him that Stephens was the assistant fire chief’s wife.

Bowlin reportedly claimed that he would ask Stephens “pick up the buckets or that she could face charges.”

The statement continued: “At approximately 5:23pm Steve Bowlin called Lt. Kelmer and stated he was sending a wastewater employee to pick up the buckets up due to the fact Mindy called him and refused to retrieve he buckets, stating it was not her problem.”

Stephens was then arrested and booked at the Wichita County Jail on Thursday, 1st December.

She was released the next day after posting USD 2,000 (GBP 1,640) bail.

Police records showed that the woman had been charged with assault in 2000, family violence assault in 2010, and aggravated assault causing serious bodily harm in 2020.

In the latter case she allegedly hit a male family member with a set of keys that punctured his hand and arm.
