Coked-Up Killer Kia Driver Causes Road Carnage

This is the moment a driver high on cocaine allegedly ploughs into a car making a slow turn killing the driver instantly before ploughing into five people standing at the side of the road.

The incident took place on a busy motor road in the city of Tver, in the western Russian region of Tver Oblast.

The footage shows cars manoeuvring along a crowded intersection when a red car, reportedly a Kia Stinger, crashes into a turning red Volkswagen Polo at high speed.

In the crash, the Volkswagen was thrown onto the pavement as pedestrians walked by.

The Polo driver, identified as Igor Karavashkin, 50 died of his injuries later in hospital while five pedestrians were severely injured after the Volkswagen car ran into them.

Emil Bayramov, 30, who was reportedly driving the Kia sedan wasn’t hurt. Later a medical examination showed that he had cocaine in his urine.

On 5th February the Central District Court of Tver decided to arrest Bayramov and he is currently being held in pre-trial detention.

A criminal case was launched under Article 264 of the Russian Criminal Code for ‘Violation of the rules of the road, resulting in the death of a person through negligence, committed in a state of intoxication’.

At the time of the collision, Bayramov was reportedly driving at a speed of 104 kph (64.6 mph).

The investigation is ongoing.
