This is the moment a saucy barman on his knees bites a cucumber from the crotch of a dancer at a night club but then chokes on the fruit and has to be carried from the scene.

The incident occurred in the Spartacus night club located in the city of Nezahualcoyotl in the central Mexican state of Mexico as the dancing group Los Wapayasos (The Handsome Clowns) were performing.

In the video, a man, who has not been named in reports but is said to work in the club, can be seen on stage on his knees when he takes a cucumber from one of the performer’s crotches into his mouth.

He then gets to his feet and runs across the stage to spit the cucumber into a bucket with the help of one of the performers.

The man then returns to the performer with the cucumber and puts another fruit in his mouth but appears to have some trouble.

Onlookers rush to his aid, trying to perform the Heimlich manoeuvre because he is choking but the man then drops to the floor.

A crowd gathers around and local media report he was carried from the scene, as can be seen in the second clip.

The Wapayasos have now released a statement about the incident which occurred during the ‘Pepino de Platino’ (Platinum Cucumber) routine which sees participants try to move a cucumber from one side of the stage to the other in their mouth.

The statement said: “One of the workers from the bar, who was in a drunken state, came onto the stage and wanted to participate in the show”.

The statement added: “The Wapayasos refused to let him participate but due to him being drunk and not to cause an issue, they let him onto the stage. Unfortunately, when he bit the cucumber he began choking.

“The staff from the club went up to the man to perform the Heimlich manoeuvre to unblock his airways. From what were were told, everything was under control.”

The statement said that the dancers’ manager Marteen Ortega has asked about the man’s condition and “he received the answer that the man was well and that he had decided to go home because of his situation which left all the group’s staff calm.”

The Prosecution of the State of Mexico moved to deny rumours that the worker had died, writing on social media: “With respect to the incident reported in the early hours of Sunday morning in a bar in Nezahualcoyotl municipality, the prosecution would like to confirm that it is false that any deaths were registered, as has been reported by some on social media.”

There are no updates on the man’s condition.
