Local media report the hooded man was killed immediately in the incident. The hooded man’s accomplices are seen running from the scene.

It is unclear if the man in the vest has been arrested.

The video has been seen more than 332,000 times and received more than 12,000 likes. It has sparked debate over the customer’s reaction with ‘ingriddehenriq2’ commenting: “He is a hero, it was them or the thief, it was self-defence”.

‘Alfonso_R_R’ added: “As a lawyer, I can say it was too much violence but he defended life… as a citizen, I would say he is a hero.”

‘AlonsoEscobed15’ said: “If we look at this from a legal point of view, he is a murderer, but from the justice point of view he is a hero, and sadly it is something stupid laws and the government are doing.”

‘Micky13836814’ said: “Sadly this society has to carry out these kinds of actions. The man did not think and acted like a real hero. We have to do the same to protect and protect our people.”
