CJNG Hitman Arrested For Killing Two Israeli Mafiosos

An alleged Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG) hitman has been arrested for planning an attack at a shopping centre which left two Israelis dead.

According to local media, Carlo Fernando Huerta Nunez, aka ‘El Viejon’, was arrested during a police operation in the municipalities of Alvaro Obregon and Cuajimalpa in Mexico City.

The suspect allegedly was in charge of cordinating and funding a death squad allegedly behind the Plaza Artz shopping centre attack in July 2019.

Reports said that two Israelis men named Alon Aulay, 41, and Benjamin Yeshurun, 44, were shot that evening by a hitwoman who was sitting next to them in a restaurant.

The hitwoman, allegedly Esperanza Gutierrez, was reportedly arrested when she was trying to escape from the shopping centre alongside another accomplice.

Reports said that Huerta Nunez was arrested during an operation coordinated by the Investigative Police (PDI) and the General Attorney’s Office.

Local media reported that The Mexican Secretary of Public Safety (SSC) confirmed that during the operation police also seized an unspecified amount of cocaine along with an arsenal of guns, ammunition and grenades.

The PDI investigations suggest that Huerta Nunez worked under the orders of Cesar Moreno Pinzon, aka ‘El Tajetas’, who is the leader of the CJNG in the area of Guadalajara in the state of Jalisco.

The two Israeli men murder are suspected of being linked to the criminal activities of the CJNG and the Israeli mafia.
