Chinese Woman Driver Mixes Pedals, Knocks Over Passerby And Crashes BMW Into Phone Shop

This is the moment a Chinese woman driver reportedly mixes up the brake and accelerator pedals and knocks a female passerby to the ground before reversing her BMW SUV into a mobile phone shop.

The incident was filmed in the city of Xilinhot in the northern Chinese province of Inner Mongolia at around 5.40pm on 18th October.

In the footage, the woman driver is seen reversing slowly before suddenly speeding backwards and knocking over a woman, who appears to get crushed against a parked car.

Meanwhile, the BMW SUV reverses into the shop while the injured woman lies on the ground and an onlooker walks over to check on her. The woman remains motionless on the ground until the clip ends.

In the second video filmed inside the store, the BMW is seen crashing through the glass front and hitting several display tables.

The driver apparently still has her foot on the gas pedal while the car is stationary before finally releasing it and getting out of the vehicle.

According to local media, the woman driver, named as Zhou Moumou, was trying to reverse her BMW SUV out of a parking spot when she mixed up the pedals and knocked over a passerby before crashing into the phone shop.

The incident caused considerable damage in the store and one person was reported as injured, presumably the woman seen being knocked to the ground in the video.

Police officers arrived on the scene and checked the woman’s driving licence and tested her for alcohol consumption, which were all found to be in order.
