Chinese Mum Watches Toddler Catch Two Mice With Bare Hands

This is the moment a Chinese toddler shows his mother two rats he caught in the garden before running away with both of them in his hands because he does not want to give them up.

The incident was filmed in the city of Handan in the Chinese province of Hebei, and the footage has been widely shared on social media.

According to the news site Toutiao, the mother of the 18-month-old boy was washing plates when she looked out of the window and noticed two rodents near her young son.

The mum, name not reported, said she saw her toddler catch both rats with his bare hands and rushed outside to make sure he did not get bitten.

In the footage, the boy shows his mum the two rats in both his hands with an innocent look on his face.

Both rodents appear already dead in the footage and it is unclear if the young lad squeezed them to death or whether they were already deceased when he found them, although the mother said she saw them moving around her son when she watched him catch them.

In the third clip, the boy is seen toddling away from his mother with both rats still in his hands, apparently unwilling to let them go.

The mother said that she eventually managed to get the rodents from her boy and cleaned him up thoroughly afterwards.
