This is the incredible sight of a massive hoard of cosmetics that a girl about to start college insisted she needed to take with her when it was seen by her mum.

The mother, who lives in Yantai in eastern China’s Shandong Province, was so shocked that she shared images online asking if it was normal for a teenager to have more than a hundred cosmetic items to take with her to college.

She also had 11 pairs of trainers, as well as assorted other shoes, packed away in her luggage in order to head off to her studies.

The video shot by the mother shows the bed literally covered in cosmetic items, and she added that “there are more than 60 lipsticks, 20 bottles of foundation, more than 40 eyebrow pencils and many pairs of cosmetic contact lenses”.

The mum added: “My heart is about to explode! How many faces does she have?”

The incredible video quickly went viral on local social media, with other people expressing equal surprise at a student needing so much makeup.

Many people criticised the girl for spending so much money on cosmetics and so much time on looking after herself when she should be studying and not spending her parents’ cash.

Others, however, commented that they were jealous of the young woman having the opportunity to have so many cosmetics while still being a student.
