Chinese Driver Stops In Wilderness To Feed Hungry Fox Asking For Food

This is the moment a kindhearted Chinese man stops in the wilderness to feed a starving wild fox apparently asking for food by the side of the road.

The man, name not reported, came across the fox in the area of Hulunbuir in the northern Chinese region of Inner Mongolia on 5th February.

He said he was driving home with a friend when he noticed a small animal by the side of the road that he first mistook for a local dog.

After taking a closer look, the man realised it was a fox that remained by the roadside and apparently wanted assistance.

While his friend filmed him, the man got out his car and approached the wild animal, offering food from his shopping bag.

He later said he could not bear to see the animal starving so gladly shared his food with it.

He dropped the food a few metres from the fox and it hurried over to eat it.

The animal gave him the impression that it was not too afraid of him, so he tried to make the fox come closer, and at one point it came within centimetres of the man.

He shared the video later that day on the social network Douyin, which is what TikTok is known as in China, and it has since been widely circulated.

Many netizens praised the man for his actions. However, some people said he should not have interfered in nature and that feeding it human food could harm it.
