This is the moment a Chinese man performs an impromptu concert on his balcony to cheer up his quarantined neighbours during the coronavirus outbreak.

The incident was filmed in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang and the footage was later shared on social media by netizen ‘Captain Dragonfly’ where it is going viral with 600,000 views.

He simply wrote: “I’ve performed a concert in the community.”

The considerate neighbour said that he only wanted to cheer up residents who are isolating themselves indoors during the spread of COVID-19.

However, despite his dulcet tones and good intentions, reports said his impromptu concert was cut short by the local authorities.

In the footage, the singer is seen with a microphone and large speaker perched on his balcony wall.

He gees-up the neighbours during the song’s intro and then belts out the tune with aplomb.

Some residents show their appreciation by shining their phone torches up at the performer, but his next-door neighbour appears to snub the man’s musical musings.

At the song’s climax, the singer receives a round of applause from residents and even his next-door neighbour claps his hands and appears to crack a smile.
