Chile Soldiers Take Sick Pics As Market Up In Flames

This is the moment Chilean soldiers pose for sick snaps as a marketplace burns in the background during a curfew imposed amid anti-government protests.

The incident was filmed in the city of Talca in the province of the same name located in the central Chilean region of Maule and was posted on Twitter where it has been viewed 43,000 times.

According to reports, the market, known as the Centro Regional de Abastecimiento (Regional Supply Centre), burned to the ground during an imposed curfew due to the ongoing riots across many parts of Chile.

In the footage, a soldier is seen kneeling on the ground as a colleague takes snaps of him with the market burning in the background.

The camerawoman says: “Why are they taking so many photos? They are taking snaps of each other!”

According to reports, the market building was completely destroyed by the fire. The cause of the blaze is still unknown and an investigation is ongoing.

Twitter user ‘RecaElUnico’ commented: “They want keepsakes to remind themselves of the wonderful job they are doing!”

‘RusticSkills’ said: “Let them keep taking pictures of each other. We will want to see their faces to identity them after everything that has happened!”
