Netizens have claimed they saw a child ghost in the background of an innocent snap posted online by a famous Latin actress who was crowned Miss Costa Rica in her modelling heyday.
Costa Rican TV star Maribel Guardia shared the photo on Instagram for her 4.4 million followers where it has been ‘liked’ over 87,000 times.
In the snap, the gorgeous 60-year-old is seen posing in a fetching red dress on some steps outside a plush home.
However, the spooky image of a child’s face appears behind the opened window in the background that many netizens believed was the ghost of a young boy.
Instagram user ‘DaliiGuardia6017’ wrote: “I have just seen your picture and it gave me goosebumps! There is something in the shadows in the background. Have you seen it?”
Netizen ‘Ketnadiny’ said: “Jesus, so scary.”
The actress and former beauty queen responded to one netizen with the message: “Come on, it’s not a ghost, it is a child!”
Guardia became famous in 1978 after she was crowned Miss Costa Rica and represented her country at Miss Universe the same year.
She was awarded a grant to study drama by the TV channel Televisa and went on to star in several soap operas before moving into television presenting.
