Chicken Wings Take Flight When Barbecue Explodes In Ball Of Flame

This is the moment a dozen chicken wings take flight after a group of six pals decided to build a barbecue to cook them, which suddenly exploded in a huge ball of fire.

CCTV footage set up in the backyard of the property in Jieyang, which is a prefecture-level city in eastern Guangdong Province in the People’s Republic of China, captured the peaceful moment the group sits and talks around a table with food, while one member sits slightly apart, cooking on the makeshift grill.

However, the peaceful scene is interrupted when a huge fireball explodes into life, flying up into the air and scattering hot ash over the entire area, including the group of people sitting at the table.

They then flee, desperately brushing off the hot cinders, as the man who had been cooking stands back in amazement, wondering what has just happened.

The reason was made clear the next day when the debris had been cleared away, and it was revealed a mini crater had appeared in the concrete, which had exploded after being heated up by the fire.

Local media said that when concrete is exposed to a large amount of heat, moisture inside can expand, and this can cause the concrete to either crack or, in extreme situations as seen here, explode.

Nobody was hurt in the incident. However, the chicken wings that had been cooking were no longer edible after taking flight along with the bricks, chunks of cement and embers from the fire.
