This is the moment a cheeky takeaway deliveryman drops off food at a client’s home before grabbing a pair of their shoes and riding off with them.

The incident was filmed by a security camera at the client’s home in Singapore, an island city-state off southern Malaysia, and shared on social media where it has been widely circulated.

In the video, the GrabFood deliveryman is seen arriving at the house on an e-scooter before handing over the takeaway.

He then returns to his vehicle and checks his phone before approaching the front door again.

The unnamed man looks around and grabs a pair of shoes from a stand which he then stuffs into his food delivery bag before riding off.

Aside from stealing the customer’s footwear, netizens were equally disgusted by the deliveryman stuffing the dirty items into his food bag.

Netizen ‘Keong Zai’ commented: “You all see the shoes being stolen but disregard the hygiene of the food bag.”

‘Shaun Lim’ said: “Now I know what the big green bag is for.”

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Grab Holdings Inc. said that the company is aware of the video and are looking into the matter, adding: “Grab does not condone such behaviour and will terminate delivery-partners who are found guilty.”

The company probe is ongoing.
