The wife of drug lord El Chapo has posted these photos of herself posing on ski slopes after months of silence on social media.
Emma Coronel, the wife of the former leader of the Sinaloa cartel, who is currently jailed in the United States, has shared these two pictures on her reportedly real Instagram profile two months after participating in the reality show Cartel Crew, made by VH1.
Coronel shared two photos of her in a stunning snowy landscape on Sunday in skiwear. She did not say where the snaps were taken or if they were recent.
She first appeared on social media in January 2019 and earned 44,000 followers in just one week.
According to Mariel Colon, a member of the defence lawyers of Joaquin ‘El Chapo¡ Guzman, Coronel created the account “therealemmacoronel” in order to put an end to the huge amount of fake accounts created in her name.
Local media report that at the beginning she was very active on Instagram and even made a call for young designers to join her project of a fashion line in the name of the drug trafficker.
She reportedly wrote “as you will probably know, I have a project of a fashion line in process. The line is called El Chapo Guzman: JGL. I want to tell you that I am excited and I hope to be able to create things for everybody”.
She wrote about her husband’s conviction in the United States, saying: “Everything that was said in the trial about Joaquin, good or bad, for me it does not change the way I think of him”.
In June 2019, she decided to delete all her posts and had not made any posts since then.
She made headlines by starring in the Cartel Crew reality show where she was seen talking with Michel Blanco, son of the drug trafficker Griselda Blanco, who complained about how people treated her.
