This is the moment a man who spent four and a half hours trying to rescue a cat trapped inside a wall for three days finally manages to pull the stubborn moggie out and is reportedly bitten for his trouble.

The incident was filmed in the municipal city of Kolpin near Saint Petersburg located in north-western Russia and was later shared on social media.

According to local media, the cat was trapped behind the wall for three days before members of the Koshkispas Animal Rescue NGO were called to rescue it.

They located the cat’s position and asked the home owner if they could dismantle the boiler and section of the wall.

A spokesperson said that a hole was drilled through the wall into the ventilation shaft where the cat had become trapped. It is unclear how the animal got there in the first place.

According to reports, rescuers enticed the frightened kitty out with food, adding: “It was exhausted after three days in the shaft and could barely move.”

Concerned that the cat might retreat further into the shaft, the rescuer grabbed it and pulled the feline out with his hands.

However, the man received a bite on his hand for his efforts, as seen in the video footage.

Reports said that it took four and a half hours to save the animal.

Meanwhile, the flat tenants have decided to allow the cat to live them.
