A man in Ohio has been accused of raping multiple children who he was babysitting.
Timothy Luna, 25, has been indicted on six counts of rape among other charges including three counts of gross sexual imposition in Akron, a city in Ohio, in the USA.
The suspect was indicted by a grand jury on Friday, 30th September, for raping children as young as six years old.
Luna is accused of raping a 6-year-old child from December 2021 to June 2022 and a 9-year-old child in October 2018.
Newsflash obtained a statement from the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office saying: “Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh announced today that a Summit County grand jury indicted Timothy Luna, 25, of Akron, for raping children he babysat.”
The prosecutor’s office added: “The charges are from incidents involving several children in three local communities. Investigators determined Luna was hired after posting his information on www.care.com, a website where families can search for people to assist in babysitting, senior care, tutoring, and pet care.”
They also said that investigators “are trying to determine whether there are more victims” and invited anyone who may have hired him to reach out to local law enforcement at the Parma Heights Police Department, the Akron Police Department and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.
