The images of the sweat patch on his chest and the much larger heart-shaped stains on his back were snapped at the end of the team’s 20th operation on 12th September.

Doctor Yin, who is with Lijiang People’s Hospital in Yunnan Province in south-western China, said: “The surgeries started at around 8:30am and ended at 10:30pm at night.

“Besides surgeries, there are also a lot of emergency cases, but all of that is commonplace, and my family is very understanding

“I have a three-year-old daughter. The only thing she asks every day is why Dad hasn’t come home yet.

“The lights at home are always on. When I get home, my wife and my mom wake up to greet me.”

Yin said the surgeons only took short breaks between each operation.

Social media users who have left hundreds of comments praising Doctor Yin and his colleagues have compared his sweat stains to ‘angel wings’.

Netizen ‘Zhidai Zuoerkou’ wrote: “Those are the wings of angels!”

‘Shenxian Lululuo’ added: “You should rest more. Carrying on like this is very dangerous.”
