This the shocking moment a red Hyundai car overtaking a tractor is completely destroyed when it is hit by an oncoming lorry that also overturns the farming vehicle.

The startling incident occurred near the entrance to the city of Kraljevo in central Serbia and was captured by CCTV.

In the video, the white lorry can be seen making its way down the main road when a red Hyundai suddenly appears in its lane driving straight towards it.

The lorry crashes head-on into the Hyundai and the two vehicles come to a halt as the tractor overturns in the incident.

Images taken at the scene show how the front end of the Hyundai was crushed in the crash and local media report the driver, named as Ilija M., 53, died at the scene.

His wife Gordana M., 49, daughter Ivana M., 21, and their relatives – aunt S.L., 49, and uncle D.L., 53, were all severely injured, according to reports.

The lorry driver and tractor driver are said to have suffered minor injuries.

All four of those severely injured are said to be in a stable condition but their lives are reportedly still at risk.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Netizen ‘Fircoje’ commented: “The one who drove the car is not normal.”

But ‘damjan k’ said: “I don’t understand the driver of the lorry who did not slow down or stop when he saw the vehicle that was overtaking.”
