A French couple who were caught breaking the coronavirus lockdown to have sex in their car told cops they were out for “physical exercise” and “basic necessities”.
The couple were caught having sex in the forest of Mathay in the Doubs department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comte region of eastern France with reports stating that they had parked their car discreetly at the level of the forest.
According to reports, at the request of the police who checked them, both the man and the woman presented a completed travel waiver certificate to be out in the lockdown, with the man having ticked the box “physical exercise” and the woman “basic necessities”.

Local media report that a second couple were also discovered in a comprising position in a car parked near the Courcelles-les-Montbeliard aerodrome, still in the Doubs department.
Reports state that the lovers had not filled in the obligatory waiver and the young man, who has not been named, offered to pay both fines.
According to local media, both couples were fined 135 EUR (122 GBP) each.
Reacting to the news, one netizen commented: “They (the cops) could still have closed their eyes. It is indeed physical exercise and the woman was going to look for eggs.”
French President Emmanuel Macron has extended the date of the country’s lockdown until 11th May.
