This woman bungee jumps nearly 1,000 feet every day to drop off hot meals to her workmates at the bottom of a mountain as they would get cold if she delivered them by car.

Wan Tiandi takes the 300-metre (984-foot) plunge as part of her job at the Wansheng Ordovician Theme Park near the south-western Chinese city of Chongqing.

Her duties with the park’s logistics department include delivering hot meals to more than 200 employees who cannot leave their posts because of their jobs.

But she says it would take more than 30 minutes if she was to drive down the mountain to reach them – by which time the food would be cold.

So considerate Wan straps herself to one of the theme park’s bungee jumps every day – with lunchboxes packed in bags strapped to her waist – and is launched over a cliff to make the delivery within two minutes instead.

She explained that her colleagues needed hot meals but the park’s narrow mountain roads and tracks made speedy delivery impossible by car.

Wan said: “Our park is huge. It will take me more than half an hour’s drive to send lunches to them, while this bungee jump takes only two minutes.”

Fortunately, Wan is something of an adrenaline junkie and says that she enjoys the thrill of her unusual daily delivery run.

And her workmates are also very happy with the service. “It isn’t easy. Her delivery is fast, steady and always on time,” one told local media.

A video recording of Wan making her bungee jump lunch delivery is proving popular with viewers after it was posted on video-sharing platforms.
