Californian Boy, 3, Falls To Death From Ninth Floor Of Hyatt Hotel In Mexico

A three-year-old boy from California who was on holiday with his family at a beach resort in Mexico has died after falling from a ninth-floor balcony at the Hyatt Hotel.

He was the third child to die at a hotel in the Mexican resort city of Puerto Vallarta in less than a week.

The young boy, who was not named, was on holiday with his dad, James Carter, and mum, who was not named, when he fell from the hotel’s ninth floor yesterday, 11th October.

The news site Debate said the family was visiting the resort city from California.

The family were heading for breakfast at that beachside hotel when the little boy wandered over to a railing with a large gap between the metal bars.

The little boy tried to lean against the railing, but fell through the gap and fell nine floors before hitting the hard ground below.

An ambulance was called to the scene, but by the time it arrived the little boy had already died.

The hotel manager evacuated all guests from the ninth floor stating that it was not safe.

This was the third time in less than a week that a child died while staying at a hotel in Puerto Vallarta.

Last week, a six-year-old child drowned in the pool of the Crow Paradise Hotel and a three-year-old drowned in the Marriott Hotel’s pool.

An investigation into the incident has been launched.
