This video shows a driver spitting out his window and accidentally crashing his crowded bus off the side of a mountain.

The being shared to China’s Twitter-like microblogging site Sina Weibo was filmed in an as yet unidentified Chinese province on 12th October.

The on-board security footage shows the driver of the bus, in which there appears to be more than 15 passengers, including children, travelling at speed on a winding mountain road when he begins leaning out the window to spit.

As he takes his eyes off the road for a split second and flings his spit out the window, the road suddenly changes from a straight to a left bend.

The bus strays off the road and begins colliding with the concrete bollards, with the bus operator unable to react in time as the vehicle is launched over the edge.

The distressing footage shows the driver, who is wearing a seat belt, being thrown out of his seat and turned upside down as the bus begins rolling down the side of the mountain into a ravine.

His passengers, who are not buckled in, are tossed around the bus and several are seen picking themselves up off the floor as the vehicle lands wheels first at the bottom of the slope.

According to reports, details of the crash were still being investigated, with no casualty count released at the time of writing.
