This is the moment a bus driver crashes onto a pavement and mows down two commuters waiting at a bus stop before dozens of witnesses pull the victims from its undercarriage.
The collision happened as the route 12 bus pulled into Yanfu People’s Market in the city of Yancheng, in East China’s Jiangsu Province, where CCTV footage several people waiting for buses.
In the footage, the bus travelling along Jianjun Road suddenly veers to the right and drives onto the pavement towards two commuters sitting on a bench.

Before the victims can reach, the bus crashes into them and they disappear into the vehicle’s undercarriage.
Several more flee the bus stop just in time, avoiding further injuries.
Footage taken in the aftermath of the incident show dozens surrounding the crashed bus, with reports saying the two victims were pulled out from the bus’s undercarriage before paramedics arrived.
The victims – 54-year-old female Liu Guiying and 80-year-old male Wen Kaizhong – were taken to the city’s Third People’s Hospital, where they are continuing to receive treatment for non-life threatening injuries, reports said.
The driver, Ji Shunxiang, is understood to have been suspended as an investigation into the crash continues.
Ji’s employers said the accident was caused by a “lapse in concentration”.
