Bus Driver High On Crystal Meth Kills Pizza Delivery Boy

A bus driver appeared in court today accused of driving this out of control vehicle under the influence of crystal meth and causing the death of a 16-year-old pizza delivery boy.

The incident was filmed in Bayan Lepas within the city of George Town in the north-western Malaysian state of Penang where it was initially reported the bus driver had encountered a brake failure.

In the footage, a queue of vehicles is seen waiting at the traffic lights before a speeding bus enters the frame and appears to hit at least one vehicle before crashing into a house.

A 16-year-old student, who worked as a part-time pizza delivery boy, died at the scene, according to police spokesperson A. A. Anbalagan.

He said the 49-year-old suspect will be charged under Section 44(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. He had earlier tested positive for methamphetamine in a urine test.

The teenager has been identified as Muhammad Saifullah Muhammad Hafiz.

When told of his death his mother Siti Hajar Ghazali, 38, posted on Facebook: “Thank you for being a wonderful son, Chaq! I am not strong, you are my life. You taught me how to be a mother and friend. Sleep now my dear, and wait for all of us there.”

According to reports, the victim was delivering food to clients when he was hit by the out-of-control bus driver.

Two children travelling in a Suzuki Swift also sustained injuries, according to reports.

The 49-year-old bus driver reportedly suffered injuries in the incident and had been receiving care in the same hospital as the two injured children. He has reportedly appeared in court today (MON).
