This is the moment a man shouts for help after becoming stuck in a rubbish chute whilst reportedly trying to retrieve a cannabis joint he had hidden inside.

This bizarre case happened in the southern Russian city of Novokuznetsk in the Kemerovo Oblast region when a passerby heard a voice calling for help from a rubbish chute in a block of flats and began recording.

In the video, a dark rubbish chute can be seen with the man recording asking “what are you doing there, man? How did you get there?”

A voice from the bottom of the chute answers: “I can’t get out of here. Please call the police and an ambulance!”

Reports state the emergency services were called and the unnamed man was released twenty minutes later.

He had reportedly slipped and fallen into the chute when trying to retrieve a joint he had hidden there earlier.

He was taken to a medical centre but there are no updates on his condition.

Netizen ‘Victoria Konovalova’ said: “What kind of drugs was this guy on?”

Another netizen named ‘Maxim Volkov’ said: “Do these mythical idiots still exist?!”
