This is the moment a hapless driver crashes his friend’s 560,000-GBP Ferrari supercar minutes after hitting the road.

CCTV footage from Wujiang District in Suzhou City in East China’s Jiangsu Province shows the driver surnamed Jin revving the engine to speed up but almost immediately losing control of 5-million-RMB (565,875-GBP) car.

The white sports car, which appears to be a Ferrari F12berlinetta, swerves from side to side before crashing into a Toyota in the neighbouring lane to its left.

In the video, the unsuspecting Toyota owner is sent careering over a traffic island into a parked Baojun and a number of scooters, with all the vehicles overturning in the process.

Jin avoids writing off his friend’s supercar, which stops in the middle of the road after the collision system kicks in.

Local authorities said the Toyota owner was freed from his car at the crash site and was treated for minor injuries.

Jin, who is in his 30s, showed up minutes later identifying himself as the Ferrari driver.

The crash happened just moments after Jin climbed into the car in order to return it to his friend, Zhang, reports said.

The authorities have found Jin fully liable for the accident, which has caused more than 300,000 RMB (33,950 GBP) in damages.

Jin will also be ordered to compensate the Toyota owner for their hospital bills.
