This is the moment a bungling bowler manages to throw the ball through the bowling alley’s ceiling before slipping and falling hard on his bum.
The incident was filmed at Megalanes Bowling in the GSC Berjaya Megamall located in the city of Kuantan in the western Malaysian state of Pahang, and the footage was shared on Twitter by netizen ‘Hazrilazharudin’ where it has been viewed 455,000 times.
The video was accompanied with the caption: “This happened in Kuantan, bowling strike to the moon!”
In the footage, the bowler is seen approaching the lane and swinging the bowling ball backwards to send it towards the pins at the far end.
However, he lunges forwards while releasing the bowling ball which flies straight up towards the ceiling and disappears beyond the roof tiles.
Meanwhile, the bungling bowler advances onto the lane and slips over on the waxed surface, landing hard on his bum.
He appears to land directly below where the bowling ball ended up, and is lucky that it did not fall down on him.
Netizen ‘GraceDagang’ said: “Oh my God, that is so dangerous, halfway through the vid I was worried whether the bowling ball would drop on him!”
‘Wl’ commented: “I’m not that strong!”
‘Rkaru’ wrote: “Wait… The ball didn’t come back down?”
