This footage shows two bulls straying onto a busy thoroughfare and locking horns in an impromptu fight in the middle of the road that brings traffic to a standstill.

Police in county of Pujiang, which is in Jinhua City in East China’s Zhejiang Province, said the two animals “stopped traffic” as drivers did their best to avoid the scuffle.

The incident happened in the town of Yantou on 9th September after the two bulls – one black and one brown – are said to have escaped from a nearby village where they were being kept.

Traffic camera footage shows the duelling pair walking through a junction in front of a row of stopped vehicles before they begin to joust and lock horns.

The two animals push each other around in the middle of the road as the lights at the junction turn green and only one side of the traffic can move.

Members of the fire service can be seen following the bullfight, but none dares to intervene.

Fortunately, the fight stopped a few minutes later and the bulls “dispersed”, Pujiang County police said.

It is unclear whether their owner or owners were punished for the unusual traffic delay.

Social media user ‘Yumao’ wrote: “The one who loses ends up at the market. Am I right?”

‘Mr-Biscuit’ said: “That’s proper road rage.”

‘Luo66de Hualu’ added: “There’s a bullfight, and it’s free too.”
