These images show the leak of faeces which has spilt into the sea at Brit tourist hotspot and Game of Thrones filming location Dubrovnik.

The authorities of the southern Croatian city of Dubrovnik – where King’s Landing was shot in Game of Thrones – have reportedly confirmed that there was a leak of faeces in the cove of Sumartin after heavy rain. 

A video shows a brown section in the Lopud sea and the Mayor’s office have released a statement saying: “It is about a faecal collector that passes by the Nika walking trail and Meda Pucica, which all waste faecal waters in the Babin Kuk area gravitate towards.

“The municipal utility Vodovod Dubrovnik are conducting exploratory activities by recording canals in the Babin Kuk area to determine which one joined the faecal collector and caused the overflow of the aforementioned faecal collector…”

A video recorded by Igor Legaz seemingly shows faeces washing up onto the shore in the cove of Sumartin whilst another clip allegedly shows faeces in the sea in Kastela, with the person filming saying: “Already 15 minutes as the shit pours from the stream. Tourists come to swim in Kastel.”

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
