BRIDGE TOO FAR: Mum Carrying Toddler Almost Falls Off Rickety Bridge When It Collapses Injuring 10

This is the moment at least 10 people who ignored safety advice to cross a rickety bridge were injured when it partially collapsed, tipping them to the ground.

Video footage shows a young woman carrying a baby walking across the bridge at the Cuevas del Mamut Ecotourism Park, located in San Cristobal de las Casas, in Chiapas in Mexico.

Somebody is standing behind her filming on 1st January when the rope on one side of the bridge suddenly snapped.

At least 10 people were injured when they fell from the bridge, although the young woman with the baby managed to lie down flat, screaming for help.

The degree of injury of the 10 people who fell was not revealed, although there were reportedly no fatalities.

Managers at the park said there had been a clear warning not to use the bridge and that this is not only been ignored, but the people had also come across in a group.

Video footage after the accident shows men using a blanket to carry an injured person to safety from the bridge.

It was posted online by a commentator who wrote: “This is the great emergency team that the Mammoth Cave has.”

It is the second time the same bridge has collapsed and it is unclear what action authorities will be taking.
