Brazilian TV star Angelica has aimed to break the stigma surrounding sex toys in an interview with national broadsheet O Globo, in which she claimed “Vibrador e vida” (Vibrator is life).

The well-known TV presenter, actress and singer, whose full name is Angelica Ksyvickis, told readers that it’s time to normalise the use of sex objects.

Speaking about her self-pleasuring habits to interviewer and fellow presenter Sabrina Sato, the 46-year-old mother of three said: “People still shy from it.”

The star added that she still maintained her amorous relationship with her husband of 16 years, Luciano Huck.

Luciano, who is also a well-known TV presenter and an entrepreneur in his own right, was the butt of jokes made by netizens after her comments, who suggested he was unable to satisfy his wife sexually.

Angelica is known in Brazil by her first name only and has been a TV presenter from the age of 13. She has also had a prominent musical career as a singer, having sold over 13 million copies after producing 13 albums, and she has appeared as an actress in nine films.

Angelica is set to return to Brazilian screens after a two-year hiatus.
