This gorgeous Instagram model has ended her relationship with a Brazilian MP who was monitoring the conflict in Ukraine after he described the women there as “easy” because “they are poor”.
Giulia Blagitz, 25, announced that she has split with Arthur do Val, 35, of the Podemos political party, after audio messages were leaked of him reportedly calling Ukrainian women “poor” and therefore “easy” during the trip to the war-torn country.
She wrote on Instagram for her 29,000 followers: “Out of respect for all my followers who also followed Arthur, I would like to make it clear that we will go our separate ways.
“Unfortunately, life is unpredictable and often takes us down paths we don’t understand. But of one thing we can be sure: the love was real and always will be.”
As well as referring to Ukrainian women as “easy”, the politician also said that the queue for Brazil’s best nightclub is not match for the queue of Ukrainian refugees right now, according to the news site G1.
Do Val, also a member of the Free Brazil Movement (MBL), travelled to the Ukraine with MBL head Renan dos Santos to report on the conflict and he shared images on social media where he also claimed to have made Molotov Cocktails for the Ukrainian army.
After arriving at Guarulhos International Airport in Sao Paulo on the morning of 5th March, Do Val confirmed that the audio messages are authentic but that the private group chat “does not reflect” what he truly believes.
He admitted: “What I said was wrong, that’s not what I think. What I said was a mistake, in a moment of excitement.
“There is a misunderstanding… people are mixing the audios with another context.”
However, as a result of the backlash, the Brazilian politician said: “I have contacted the president of Podemos, Renata Abreu, to withdraw my pre-candidacy for the government of Sao Paulo.”
