Brawl Erupts At COVID Vaccination Centre After Feuding Families Turn Up At Same Time

This is the moment a brawl erupts at a COVID vaccination centre when two families with a longstanding feud inadvertently turned up to get jabbed at the same time.

The footage was filmed at a makeshift vaccination centre in the north-eastern Brazilian municipality of Bayeux on Tuesday, 20th July.

It quickly went viral, racking up millions of views on social media, after it was incorrectly claimed that the man in the video turned up to get jabbed with his lover and bumped into his wife and sister-in-law in the queue.

The incorrect claim spread like wildfire after the clip was shared by influencer and former Big Brother Brasil star Lumena Aleluia, who wrote: “I found this video educational. It doesn’t matter if you’re a lover or loyal, the important thing is to get vaccinated.”

In fact, the local health authorities explained the fight – in which two women can be seen tussling with a man and another woman amid shouting and chairs being hurled back and forth – was the result of a longstanding family feud.

The fight had started out as an argument, but it quickly escalated, prompting the locals waiting patiently in line to get jabbed against COVID-19 to leave their seats and keep a distance from the violent scene unfolding.

The footage also shows how the nurses stay in their seats but are clearly startled by the unexpected scene taking place before their eyes.

The police were eventually called and a team arrived on the scene and broke up the fight, after which the participants were jabbed and vaccinations continued as normal.

No one was injured or arrested in the melee.
