Brave Mum Records Hubbys Abuse In Front Of Crying Son

Police are probing this viral video – viewed more than 12 million times – in which a brave mum records herself being kicked and punched – allegedly by her husband – in front of her crying son.

The footage from Shantou, a coastal city in China’s southern Guangdong Province, was is thought to have been captured on 20th May and then shared to the mum’s personal social media account.

The clip begins with the mum setting up her mobile phone for a live stream inside her bedroom when the man understood to be her spouse storms in wearing only his pants.

Almost immediately the woman appears to be kicked and then repeatedly punched as she screams loudly and cries for help.

In the viral footage, which has been commented on tens of thousands of times, the couple’s two-year-old son can also be seen in the room.

He can be seen crying as he witnesses the domestic abuse up close, with the beating lasting nearly a minute.

The video ends with the mum still howling in pain as her husband opens a door and leaves the room.

A spokeswoman for the Shantou Public Security Bureau told local media: “From the footage alone, we aren’t able to determine the exact location where the incident took place.”

“Relevant departments are following up on the case,” she added.

The woman’s identity is currently unclear and no arrests have been reported.
