The large vehicle is even seen being lifted off the ground as it apparently drives over several bodies.

Other footage shows the victims’ bloodied bodies lying on the street, some trapped under the wheels of the lorry.

The detained lorry driver is also seen being led away by police officers.

According to local media, 10 people were killed and 16 others were injured in the incident.

The local authorities have said the lorry was also overloaded and that the driver encountered brake problems when coming down a steep hill.

The police investigation and hospital treatment for the 16 injured victims are currently ongoing.
