Little Thiago from the city of Cordoba in the central Argentine province of the same name sent the items to the TV show ‘La Red del Buen Dia’ (The Good Day Network’) on the local TV channel ‘El Doce’.

The letter, which was read out on air, said: “The only thing I am asking for is for my mum to meet Ricky Martin. I cannot take part in the contest because I am not old enough and my savings aren’t enough to buy her a ticket.”

Following the incident, little Thiago’s letter was widely shared on social media with netizens supporting the child’s thoughtful attempt to win tickets for his sick mother.
