This is the moment a boy racer crashes into a pedestrian and sends him spinning though the air while performing drifting tricks and then carries on as though nothing had happened.

The incident took place in the north-eastern South African province of Gauteng and was filmed by an onlooker who shared the footage on social media where it has been widely shared.

According to local media, the police are aware of the video and are asking for the public’s help to identify the driver and his unfortunate victim.

In the short clip, the driver of a white Volkswagen Golf is seen revving the engine before performing a spin that carried the vehicle into the path of two men walking along the side of the road.

The screeching car’s rear end crashes into a man in black clothing, who is sent spinning through the air as onlookers gasp in shock.

While the man lies motionless on the tarmac, the boy racer spins his wheels and starts doing donuts in the middle of the road with his arm casually hanging out of the window as though nothing had happened.

The camera then turns to the injured man, who is lying in a heap on the ground and does not appear to be moving.

Police spokesman Wayne Minnaar said they currently do not where the video was shot, adding that it “could have been anywhere”.

He continued: “At this stage, we are calling on anyone who may have witnessed this incident to report to the nearest police station.”
