This is the moment Mexican boxing champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez is seen singing at the top of his lungs when he runs into a popular Chilean singer – and fans have jokingly slammed his voice.
Local media report Santos Saul Alvarez Barragan, more commonly known as Canelo Alvarez, 29, was walking in a street in the United States capital city Washington D.C. when he encountered popular Chilean-born female singer Norma Monserrat Bustamante Laferte, professionally known as Mon Laferte.
To show his support for the singer, the boxer burst out signing one of Laferte’s most popular songs, “Tu Falta de Querer” (Your Lack Of Loving) at the top of his lungs.
Fans commented on the video with very mixed reactions.

Laferte recently won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Alternative Song for “Amarrame” (Tie Me Up) in 2017 and is the Chilean singer with most nominations in a single edition of the Latin Grammy Awards in the same year with a total of five.
Three-weight champion Alvarez has won 52 of his 55 bouts throughout his professional boxing career. He has changed weight classes but most of his fights have been in the middleweight divisions.
He became one of the world’s wealthiest athletes after signing an incredible 11-fight 278-million-GBP deal with DAZN last year.
His first fight of the deal was with Liverpool-born Rocky Fielding which ended in a victory by KO for Alvarez in the third round which crowned him the WBA (Regular) super middleweight World Champion in December 2018.
He is going up another weight classes to light heavyweight and is set to fight current light-heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev on 2nd November at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
